It was once again great to work with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois. We went above our set goal and I look forward to future successful blood drives. I would like to give a special thanks to the phlebotomist Heather! I typically have trouble giving blood because it is tough to find a vein, but Heather did it on her first try! The photo below is of Heather and I.
Here are the official numbers we received on the lab report:
Goal: 15
Scheduled Donors: 24 Registered Donors: 23
Whole Blood: 15
Double Red Cell (DRC) – 2 donors for 4 units
Plasma: 1
Deferrals – 5
First Time Donors - 16
Total Units: 20
Potential number of patients helped through our efforts: 60!
