SPRINGFIELD – State Senator Ann Gillespie (D-Arlington Heights) passed legislation in the Illinois Senate to end surprise medical bills on Tuesday.
“After an already expensive medical procedure, the last thing a patient needs is to be strapped with additional costs,” Gillespie said. “Our plan will protect consumers from receiving surprise bills long after receiving treatment.”

Arlington Heights Banta House to receive state grant for renovations

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS – The Arlington Heights Park District is set to receive $30,000 to make improvements to the 1908 Banta House, thanks to support from State Senator Ann Gillespie (D-Arlington Heights).
“Historical places, like the Banta House, must be preserved so our neighbors can appreciate the rich history of our community,” Gillespie said. “This investment will fund needed upgrades to the Banta House and restore the historic home so it can be used for years to come.”
