ARLINGTON HEIGHTS – The constituent service offices of State Senator Ann Gillespie (D-Arlington Heights) and State Representative Mark Walker (D-Arlington Heights) will reopen for appointments on Monday, June 8.
“We remain committed to providing residents with the help and services they need, especially during these difficult times,” Gillespie and Walker said. “Being accessible to residents is important to us, which is why we will be taking in-person appointments, but also continue to meet with constituents virtually or by phone.”
Following social distancing and prevention guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health, visitors will be required to wear a face covering when social distancing is not possible unless they have a medical reason not to do so. Face coverings and gloves will be available to visitors who do not have them. Additionally, while walk-ins will not be turned away, they will be let in only if capacity is available. The offices will also undergo frequent cleaning to protect the health and safety of visitors and staff.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS – With millions of Illinoisans facing unemployment, State Senator Ann Gillespie (D-Arlington Heights) announced the launch of a free online career training program for jobs in the information technology industry.
“The Workforce Recovery Initiative will develop work skills for high-demand careers in the technology sector,” Gillespie said. “I encourage those seeking new employment to enroll so that they are better prepared for a career in a growing industry.”

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS – After the brief closures of Community Based Testing Sites (CBTS) throughout Illinois, State Senator Ann Gillespie (D-Arlington Heights) announced the reopening of the Rolling Meadows testing site.
“Having a testing site readily available in our community is a valuable service,” Gillespie said. “I encourage anyone experiencing symptoms to please get tested. We all must continue to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19.”
Gillespie moves to study more affordable health care for working families

SPRINGFIELD – As part of a historic health care package that passed the Illinois Senate, State Senator Ann Gillespie (D-Arlington Heights) voted to pass legislation that would create a feasibility study on health care affordability.
“Too many people are left out of our health care coverage system because it is unaffordable for low- and middle-income families,” Gillespie said. “This study will look at a variety of options and best practices used in other states to see which is the best fit for Illinois.”
